Hi there!

My name is Mrs. Cornell and I am the 6th grade Language Arts teacher at Edgewood Magnet School. I am so excited to get to know you, but until then here is a little bit about me! 

 

I was born in New Haven and lived in Connecticut until I graduated college in 2010. I attended Eastern Connecticut State University where I obtained a bachelors degree in English. While in college I spent 6 months abroad living in Florence, Italy. 

 

After graduation, I moved to Boston, MA where I attended Simmons College. I received a master’s degree in teaching and began my teaching career in 2012. I did my student teaching in a small town outside of Boston called Chelsea where I taught grades 9 & 12. I loved teaching in Chelsea so much that I stayed in the district and taught 8th grade in their local middle school.

In 2015, I returned home to CT with my family and joined the amazing team of teachers at Edgewood!
